About the position

As a Finance Manager at CBRE, you will lead a team focused on Finance Strategy and Operations, overseeing critical functions such as annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and management reporting. This role is essential for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees and oversee their training and development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and mentor team members.
  • Lead the recruiting and hiring processes for new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules and assigning tasks.
  • Set and track deadlines for staff and department deliverables.
  • Mentor and coach team members as needed.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting processes.
  • Review balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, and consolidated reporting packs for accuracy.
  • Review and approve monthly journal entries.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports and analyses for senior management.
  • Coordinate the development and preparation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Communicate complex information and performance expectations effectively.
  • Influence stakeholders to reach agreements and resolve issues.
  • Identify and troubleshoot day-to-day and moderately complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, and performance management preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to convey critical information and performance expectations.
  • Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality and efficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.
  • Intermediate math skills for financial calculations.
  • Experience in Project Management financial planning, including budget development and financial forecasting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mentoring and coaching staff.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards and practices.
