About the position

The Finance Manager position within the Corporate Finance team is a pivotal role that requires a strong partnership with the bank's Project Management function. This role is designed for an individual who possesses a solid background in Finance or Accounting, complemented by experience or exposure to project management. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Oracle, and will have at least a basic understanding of project management methodologies. The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with project managers and teams to analyze and model the financial impacts of various projects, including both capital and operating expenses. This position demands a high level of structured analysis and critical thinking, as well as problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the Finance Manager will be responsible for high-impact projects on a daily basis, providing a unique opportunity for professional development and exposure to senior management and other business units. The responsibilities include assisting project teams in developing proformas, tracking project expenses and statuses, and developing financial models and reports. The Finance Manager will also be involved in forecasting and budgeting, pulling data to support research and analyses, and ensuring that financial information is accurately accounted for across various business units. Additionally, the role requires the development of presentations to summarize data for senior management, necessitating strong time management skills, initiative, and business acumen to ensure success.

Responsibilities

• Assistance and guidance to project teams in proforma development
• Working closely with project teams to track project expense and status
• Development and tracking of financial models and reporting, including expense outlays
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Pulling data to support research and analyses
• Seeking information and buy-in from other lines of business
• Working with other Finance Managers to ensure accurate accounting of proforma information
• Development of presentations to summarize data for senior management
• Time management and follow-up on project tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year institution in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting; exposure or experience in project management is a plus
• Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as V-LOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Table
• Strong analytical capabilities using data tools to compile, analyze, and manipulate data
• Basic knowledge of financial planning and analysis is highly desired
• Project management skills
• Ability to independently interact with senior leaders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Time management skills
