About the position

The Finance Manager at Circle K plays a crucial role in supporting financial and operational performance by developing financial goals, analyzing results, and making recommendations for operational improvements. This position involves significant reporting responsibilities, including the development of the annual budget and periodic P&L reporting, while providing support across various departments such as Operations, Marketing, and Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial and operational performance by assisting in the development of financial goals.
  • Analyze financial results and develop recommendations for operational improvement.
  • Lead the Annual Operating Budget Process, including key meetings and presentations.
  • Provide Field Management with ad hoc reports to measure operating performance.
  • Implement advanced reporting techniques through PowerBI and manage reporting tools.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and results.
  • Interpret and explain financial results to Senior Management.
  • Calculate operations quarterly bonus and update models as criteria changes.
  • Mentor and train financial analysts to support the division's financial needs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate systems, policies, and government regulations.
  • Prepare Authority for Expenditure (AFE) for capital release and track expenses on AFE projects.
  • Forecast return on investment results and assist in capital expenditure budget preparation.
  • Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions for financial objectives.
  • Reconcile assigned accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, or budgeting and forecasting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements required.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge in PowerBI report development and experience in building dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment and balance multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly to all levels of management.
