As a CBRE Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a team that is responsible for producing key outputs associated with Finance Strategy and Operations. This includes overseeing the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and management reporting. You will be part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, which is crucial for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls within the organization. In this role, you will provide formal supervision to employees, ensuring their training and development. You will conduct performance evaluations and coaching, as well as oversee the recruiting and hiring of new team members. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating and managing the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff. You will set and track deadlines for both staff and the department, mentoring and coaching as needed to ensure high performance. You will oversee the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting. This includes reviewing balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, and supporting schedules, as well as standard consolidated reporting packs for accuracy. You will also review and approve basic monthly journal entries and produce a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management and planning units. Additionally, you will coordinate the research, development, and preparation of accounting policies and procedures, exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues. Your leadership will be essential in influencing parties of shared interests to reach agreements and in modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE values. You will apply your knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives, while also identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may arise.
