About the position

As a Finance Manager at UpEquity, you will play a pivotal role in the company's financial operations and strategic initiatives. UpEquity is a venture-backed real estate lending start-up that is revolutionizing the home buying process with its innovative financial technology products. The flagship product, Trade Up, allows consumers to purchase their next home without the burden of a sale contingency, providing a seamless transition between homes. With the recent closure of a Series C equity funding round, the company is poised for significant growth, and we are seeking a Finance Manager who can contribute to this exciting journey. In this role, you will manage various Finance and Accounting workstreams, which include budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and supporting both debt and equity fundraising efforts. You will be responsible for conducting high-priority financial analyses as needed, ensuring that the company’s financial health is robust and aligned with its strategic goals. Collaboration is key, as you will work cross-functionally to develop actionable management and Board-level reporting, enhance forecasting accuracy, and drive business performance in line with the Financial Plan. Additionally, you will work closely with the executive team on special projects, which may involve researching, planning, and executing initiatives related to new product launches or market expansion. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to critical workstreams and make a significant impact on the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage various Finance and Accounting workstreams, including budgeting, forecasting, and pricing.
  • Support debt and equity fundraising efforts.
  • Conduct high-priority financial analyses as needed.
  • Develop actionable management and Board-level reporting.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and drive business performance relative to the Financial Plan.
  • Collaborate with the executive team on special projects, including new product or market expansion initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance at high growth companies.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver results independently.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills.
