Finance Manager

About the position

The Finance Manager position at Robert Half involves developing complex financial reporting schedules and preparing various financial reports for a large privately held transportation client. The role emphasizes the use of advanced Excel and BI tools to produce key performance indicators (KPI) reports, dashboards, and management reporting packs, while also conducting financial analysis and variance analysis to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex financial reporting schedules using Excel and BI tools.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Produce Weekly KPI reports and Dashboards for management.
• Complete monthly financial analysis, variance, and trend analysis with commentary.
• Provide schedules and commentary for Monthly Management Reporting Packs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role within the retail sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and macros.
• Demonstrable experience in financial analysis, including complex financial analysis.
• Proven track record of effective KPI reporting to support business decision-making.
• Solid experience in variance analysis to identify discrepancies in financial data.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Excellent communication skills to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation within the retail sector.
