About the position

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Finance Manager for our client, an amazing nonprofit organization based in San Francisco, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about community service and Finance. The Finance Manager will oversee the organization's financial operations, ensuring compliance and providing strategic financial guidance. This role is crucial in managing the financial health of the organization and supporting its mission through effective financial management. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, credit, insurance, tax, payroll, and treasury functions. This position will also oversee accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations. The Finance Manager will forecast and manage cash flow, providing financial reporting and guidance to program directors and administrative staff. Additionally, this role will oversee the budget process and collaborate with program directors and administrative staff to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals. As an advisor to management, the Finance Manager will provide insights on financial regulations and other impactful matters, supporting and consulting with external accounting services as needed. Responsibilities

  • Managing daily financial operations, including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, payroll, and treasury.
  • Overseeing accounts receivable and payable functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Forecasting and managing cash flow.
  • Providing financial reporting and guidance to program directors and administrative staff.
  • Overseeing the budget process and collaborating with program directors and administrative staff.
  • Acting as an advisor to management on financial regulations and other impactful matters.
  • Supporting and consulting with external accounting services as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a relevant field, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience as a Finance Analyst or Finance Manager.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, financial modeling software, and accounting software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus!
