About the position

The Finance Manager at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is responsible for managing and developing a team of finance professionals while providing significant support to senior leadership and client service partners. This role involves overseeing financial processes, analyzing case economics, and ensuring effective financial reporting and compliance with finance policies. The Finance Manager will also act as a thought partner for local Managing Directors and Partners, helping to drive business decisions and financial success across practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Using and championing ClientView to streamline financial processes.
• Managing and developing a team of finance professionals.
• Evaluating case economics including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyzing revenue trends and investigating project overruns.
• Managing the monthly forecasting process.
• Tightly managing DSO through timely invoicing and collection of accounts receivable.
• SOW management and ensuring alignment with clients on milestones and billing.
• Reviewing contracts to capture terms and potential risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in finance, ideally in a professional services environment.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Business Objects, HFM, Tableau, or Alteryx is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
