About the position

The Finance Manager at Hyatt Regency Baytown is responsible for overseeing all accounting processes at the hotel, ensuring efficient service and meaningful experiences for guests. This role involves managing financial transactions, preparing invoices and statements, and maintaining accurate financial records while reporting to the Area Director of Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting processes at the hotel.
  • Post monthly transactions and prepare monthly invoices and statements.
  • Post cash receipts and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile A/R trial balance to General Ledger as needed.
  • Communicate with customers regarding collection issues.
  • Assist with various special projects, including receiving, inventory, and purchase orders.
  • Manage the hotel's cash bank.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and financial accounting system use (Oracle Preferred).
  • Two years accounting experience.

Nice-to-haves
