About the position

The Finance Manager at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is responsible for overseeing the development, evaluation, management, and reporting of financial plans. This role involves conducting financial analyses, ensuring compliance with policies, and leading departmental operations to improve quality of care and reduce costs. The Finance Manager will also support strategic initiatives and manage human resources within the department.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for development, evaluation, management, and reporting of short and long term financial plans.
• Conduct financial analysis in support of existing and/or proposed programs and services.
• Identify, recommend, and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care/services.
• Ensure compliance with all CCHMC policies and procedures regarding financial transactions.
• Coordinate, review, and approve requisitions, leases, vendor contracts, and service contracts.
• Provide facility management and space planning as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary management to evaluate financial and operational impact of services and programs.
• Propose, research, and manage the development of long and short term operating goals and objectives.
• Monitor staffing requirements and ensure accuracy of payroll inputs.
• Hire, develop, coach, evaluate, mentor, and direct supervised staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
