About the position

The Finance Operations Analyst at Nissha Medical Technologies will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data to shape the company's financial and costing strategy. This position involves working closely with various teams across global sites to perform comprehensive cost analysis, develop accurate cost estimates, and monitor expenses to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze detailed financial data to help shape the Company's financial and costing strategy.
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of costs and expenses including forecasts and budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and profit improvement.
  • Create and analyze costing reports, tracking key data such as fluctuations in material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Estimate expenses and compare budgets with actual spending, while monitoring costs following significant changes in products or processes.
  • Work with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to develop accurate cost estimates for price quotes and profitability evaluation.
  • Utilize ERP system to evaluate Bills of Material, Routing, and Labor/Overhead rates.
  • Ensure consistent application of corporate policies related to standard product costing and cost accounting principles across all sites.
  • Assist in operational rate development & maintenance, cost planning, analysis, month-end reporting, and inventory analysis.
  • Identify and analyze variances between actual and standard costs, investigate reasons behind variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze and review inventory levels at all locations; assess excess and obsolete inventory with sites.
  • Maintain internal controls consistent with JSOX.
  • Assist the Sr. Director of Corporate Finance in developing annual cost budgets and forecasts.
  • Engage with outside auditors for analysis related to product costing and inventory valuations.
  • Support other departments with information and analysis when requested.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Finance or Accounting required; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Three to five years of related experience in a manufacturing setting required.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and related activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems experience.
  • Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of US GAAP.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills.
