About the position

The Finance Ops Pharmacy Accounting Analyst III role at Ahold Delhaize USA is designed to enhance financial performance through research, analytics, and strategic recommendations. This position requires expertise in finance and business operations, focusing on complex business modeling, management reporting, and the implications of changing accounting principles. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to support financial programs, lead sales and inventory analysis, and ensure timely and accurate accounting transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, reconcile, audit and summarize financial data for management decision-making.
  • Report productivity, margins, and expenditures, calculating accruals based on historical data and future projections.
  • Lead period close activities while maintaining knowledge of specialized accounting and tax laws.
  • Identify and assess financial variances, providing insights and advice to senior management.
  • Compile accurate period, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Serve as a technical resource during internal and external audits.
  • Analyze complex revenue and receivables accounts and negotiate billing disputes with suppliers and customers.
  • Collaborate with business partners to design and implement revenue and reimbursement programs.
  • Answer Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet questions for assigned accounts and ensure accurate reporting of income and receivables.
  • Act as the point of contact for 3rd party vendor relations and lead special projects.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of mostly relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and outside vendors
  • Ability to multitask on several projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • General accounting knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP S4/Hanna
