About the position

The position is responsible for coordinating the Value Chain Finance Team at New Balance, ensuring timely and effective delivery of financial executables. The role involves driving process improvement initiatives through the development of the MS D365 ERP system and Oracle Cloud EPM, collaborating with various departments to enhance reporting and streamline operations. The individual will also develop process flows and documentation while utilizing project management tools to evaluate project success.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate VCF team to meet all financial deliverables including month-end, causals, forecast, R&Os, budget, audit, and reporting.
  • Assist Finance personnel in evaluating existing processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze, target, and prioritize initiatives and projects for process improvement.
  • Drive project management initiatives with a focus on lean process improvement.
  • Manage procedural documentation for Finance Operations process flows.
  • Support Value Chain improvement projects and participate in cross-functional teams as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director - Global Value Chain on developing policies and processes for a control environment.
  • Proactively seek process improvements to streamline activities and workflows.
  • Support Finance departmental activities and conduct detailed analyses as needed.

Requirements

  • MBA preferred with 10 years of progressive experience in a financial operations environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability with strong problem-solving skills and process orientation.
  • Project management skills are highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of ERP functionality is necessary.
  • Experience with MS D365 and Oracle EPM is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate for collective benefit.
  • Advanced technical skills in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with experience in BI tools being a bonus.

  • Experience in financial operations within a retail or manufacturing environment.
