About the position

The Finance Project Manager at Alstom will leverage financial management expertise to guide projects towards sustainable outcomes. This role involves collaboration with various teams to provide financial analysis, advice, and ensure compliance with regulations. The position is hybrid, allowing for a blend of remote and on-site work, and focuses on enhancing project visibility and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to provide finance advice, guidance, and tutoring to the core project team.
• Forecast, challenge, and approve Project Financial KPIs such as cash, sales, and margin.
• Communicate with project stakeholders to provide reliable business cases to assist in decision-making.
• Control the project gross margin through detailed reviews.
• Escalate risks and opportunities to increase management attention.
• Build trust from the business with accurate forecast reporting and project controlling.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, especially for tax and statutory accounts purposes.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
• Knowledge of financial planning, project performance, project accounting, and internal control.
• Familiarity with SAP and/or other financial planning tools.
• Experience or understanding of long and complex project control.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Ability to interpret and implement financial strategy.
• Strong analytical skills to provide reliable business cases.
• CPA certification is an asset.
