About the position

The Finance Specialist at Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages is responsible for analyzing, reporting, and providing guidance on operational expenses (OPEX) to leadership. This role involves managing OPEX spending through detailed analysis and auditing, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company financial policies, and supporting the finance team in various reporting and budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Budget and Forecast process for OPEX.
• Participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
• Provide financial insight on OPEX results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Prepare month-end entries including accruals and reclasses related to HQ OPEX.
• Prepare financial reports for HQ leadership for monthly financial review meetings.
• Conduct OPEX analysis reporting for key leadership.
• Analyze and consolidate spend data from various sources.
• Prepare monthly OPEX rollups for spend analysis.
• Provide quarterly and ad-hoc reporting using the Bottler Profitability Model.
• Support achievement of EBITDA targets through analysis of results.
• Ensure consistency of accounting treatment and proper application of GAAP and company financial policies to financial transactions.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Excel preferred.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of reporting, general ledger, and month/quarter/year-end close processes.
• Experience in budgeting/planning processes is desired.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with variance analysis.
