About the position

The Finance Supervisor for FP&A Latin America at Abbott Park, IL, is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis processes for the Latin America region, supporting a $1 billion sales commercial organization. This role involves coordinating quarterly planning processes, engaging with affiliates to understand business drivers, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The supervisor will also identify and implement process improvements, assist with senior management presentations, and support various ad-hoc financial activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of the financial planning process including quarterly rLBEs, confirmations, and annual plan deliverables.
  • Engage actively with affiliates to understand business drivers and document all assumptions.
  • Consolidate and reconcile submissions to ensure accurate tie outs.
  • Act as a key business partner to the Area commercial team, supporting projects and initiatives, and communicating results regularly.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for affiliates regarding reporting issues, including systems and technical planning questions.
  • Execute month close reporting for total Latin America, including sales flash, PnL month close, and month close activities for Area HQ.
  • Conduct various ad hoc financial analyses and prepare presentations for senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a business-related major.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with commercial finance experience at an affiliate being a plus.
  • Technical skills in Excel and financial planning-analysis are essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Host Analytics, HFM/CCI, and SAP.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to define reports, analyze data, and communicate outcomes effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to simplify complex matters and define processes clearly.
  • Learning agility to understand business dynamics and adapt quickly to changes.
