About the position

The Finance Trainee position at Sony Pictures Entertainment offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the finance department. This seasonal, full-time role runs from January through May 30th, providing trainees with the chance to work closely with finance teams, assisting in financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The position is designed to jump-start careers in finance, allowing participants to develop their skills and build a professional network in the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing reports to provide insights.
• Help in preparation and tracking of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for various departments.
• Perform accurate data entry, reconcile accounts, and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
• Assist in creating presentations and reports to communicate financial performance.
• Assist with financial process improvement initiatives to achieve efficiency and optimize planning to support decision-making.
• Assist the team with various tasks on an ad hoc basis.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business or Economics or MBA.
• In-depth experience with enterprise planning systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion) and business intelligence tools (e.g., SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau, Essbase); experience with SAP S/4 and BW/BPC preferred.
