About the position

The Finance Transformation group at Deloitte is an internal consulting team dedicated to supporting the CFO in executing strategic initiatives that drive the organization forward. This role of Change Manager is pivotal in designing, implementing, and evolving change strategies that engage and motivate employees to embrace significant cultural and behavioral changes necessary for the business's success. The Change Manager will collaborate closely with senior business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into executable strategic change initiatives. This position requires a strong background in change management and communication, with a focus on creatively managing change within complex organizational structures. In this role, the Change Manager will perform both quantitative and qualitative assessments, including stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments, to develop data-driven change strategies. They will be responsible for creating and managing the execution of tailored change management strategies and plans that accelerate the return on investment (ROI) of various initiatives. Collaboration with program and technical teams is essential to ensure integration with broader program plans. The Change Manager will also develop leadership alignment plans to secure buy-in for changes and work with subject matter experts to ensure consistent messaging and content across the organization. Additionally, the Change Manager will plan and execute communications and engagement activities that enhance understanding of key changes among stakeholders. They will measure the effectiveness of change interventions and adapt plans as necessary to drive adoption and mitigate risks. Regular reporting on activity status to program leadership and addressing any risks or issues will also be part of the responsibilities. This role is predominantly remote, with minimal travel required, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments such as stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments for key stakeholder groups to drive development of data-driven change strategies.
  • Develop and manage the execution of fit-for-purpose change management strategies and plans to accelerate ROI of initiatives; collaborate across program and technical teams to remain integrated with broader program plans.
  • Develop and manage execution of leadership alignment plans to drive buy-in with changes.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and leadership to develop and drive consistent key program messaging and content.
  • Plan, develop, and work with leadership and change networks to deliver communications and creative engagement activities, driving understanding about key changes.
  • Measure effectiveness of change interventions and evolve plans as needed to best drive adoption and reduce risk of initiatives.
  • Regularly report on activity status to program leadership; work with leadership to escalate and resolve risks and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, change management, organization effectiveness, communications or relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in change management and/or communications related to strategic transformations.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to work with and influence senior leaders.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to logically structure issues and determine recommended resolutions.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make connections across workstreams and matrixed organizations.
  • Superior project management skills with demonstrated experience successfully managing a cross-functional or cross-departmental team on a complex project.
  • Extremely high attention to detail with exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to generate and execute creative ideas related to making communications engaging and distinctive.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively and professionally navigate tough situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team, but also be a self-starter.
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS PowerPoint.
