About the position

The Financial Accountant position at Bay Business Group involves maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients, ensuring client satisfaction through effective relationship management and timely financial reporting. This role offers a hybrid work environment and flexible scheduling, catering to both part-time and full-time candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with client projects
  • Assist with year-end close and tax filings as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years Accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Experience managing multiple clients
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work during normal business hours to support our clients
