About the position

As an Analyst at Goldman Sachs in Dallas, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with various groups across the firm to develop and manage the firm's strategic and financial plans. This includes analyzing profit, loss, and financial resources to ensure the firm meets its financial control and reporting obligations. You will work closely with teams such as Controllers and Corporate Treasury, gaining the expertise necessary to provide critical analysis that projects and forecasts financial results. The role requires you to engage with multiple divisions and job functions, particularly within Controllers and Risk. In the Controllers division, you will be responsible for measuring and accurately reporting the profitability of the firm's complex products and services globally. This involves profit and loss (P&L) reporting, independent valuation, capital analysis, and financial reporting. You will need to exhibit an analytical mindset and intellectual curiosity, as well as a strong attention to detail. In the Risk division, your focus will be on identifying, monitoring, evaluating, and managing the firm's financial and operational risks. This includes working in a fast-paced environment and utilizing a best-in-class risk framework. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various groups across the firm to develop and manage strategic and financial plans.
  • Provide critical analysis to project and forecast financial results.
  • Engage with Controllers to ensure accurate reporting of profitability for complex products and services.
  • Conduct profit and loss (P&L) reporting and analysis, independent valuation, and capital analysis.
  • Identify, monitor, evaluate, and manage financial and operational risks in support of the firm's strategic plan.
  • Build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
