About the position

The Financial Accounting IT Senior Analyst at 3M plays a crucial role in enhancing financial and management accounting processes and application products. This position involves collaboration with various teams to deliver effective financial accounting solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The role requires a deep understanding of SAP Financial accounting configuration and the ability to manage product development from ideation to launch, utilizing Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and enhancement of financial and management accounting processes and application products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including controller operations, IT, finance, and risk management.
• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap outlining strategic direction and timelines for enhancements and launches.
• Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user stories and technical specifications.
• Track and analyze product performance metrics and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance of Financial Accounting products with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Five years of experience with finance business processes in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Three years of experience with SAP FICO solution in a similar environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Proven experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or similar role in finance.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger, Cost Calculation, Cost Analysis, Asset & Project Accounting.
• Familiarity with financial technology solutions such as Nakisa and Blackline.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and stakeholder influence.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment using Scrum or Kanban.
