About the position

The Financial Accounting IT Senior Analyst role at 3M is designed for a highly skilled individual to enhance financial and management accounting processes and application products. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver financial accounting solutions that align with organizational needs, utilizing expertise in SAP and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and enhancement of financial and management accounting processes and application products.
• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize features.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap for enhancements and new product launches.
• Work closely with development teams using Agile methodologies for efficient product delivery.
• Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user stories and technical specifications.
• Track and analyze product performance metrics and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance of Financial Accounting products with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Five years of experience with finance business processes in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Three years of experience with SAP FICO solution in a similar environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Proven experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or similar role in finance.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger, Cost Calculation, Cost Analysis, Asset & Project Accounting.
• Familiarity with SAP and financial technology solutions such as Nakisa and Blackline.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment using Scrum or Kanban.
