About the position

The Financial Accounting Manager at INFICON is a pivotal role responsible for leading the finance department, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and enhancing internal controls. This position involves developing finance personnel, overseeing tax preparation, managing the month-end close process, and supporting cross-functional teams with financial analysis and guidance. The manager will also monitor financial performance and lead external audits, contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 2-4 finance personnel, providing coaching and guidance.
• Assist with tax preparation, including R&D tax credits, federal and state income tax, sales tax, and international transfer pricing.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Develop forecasts and budgets, including P&L at the product line level, cash flow, and balance sheet.
• Support cross-functional teams with financial reporting and analysis.
• Responsible for the development, testing, and improvement of internal controls.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations.
• Enhance and develop processes and procedures for the finance team.
• Lead external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong interpersonal skills and organizational agility to build productive relationships.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and have difficult discussions with peers.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
