About the position

The Financial Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position requires managing a small team and handling several General Ledgers, along with a significant amount of consolidation mapping. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and compliance with internal processes, while also conducting ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed. In this role, the Financial Accounting Manager will oversee accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and tax functions. They will review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and manage quarterly and year-end audits. The manager will also coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate year-end closing and reporting. Additionally, the role involves developing and managing financial systems, budgets, and staff performance, as well as implementing and evaluating accounting policies and procedures to align with GAAP principles. Monitoring accounting data to produce timely financial reports and ensuring accurate business results will also be key responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy; conduct ad hoc analysis and special projects.
• Manage quarterly and year-end audits, and ensure compliance with internal processes.
• Develop and manage financial systems, budgets, and staff performance.
• Coordinate with external auditors for accurate year-end closing and reporting.
• Implement and evaluate accounting policies and procedures to align with GAAP principles.
• Monitor accounting data to produce timely financial reports and ensure accurate business results.

Requirements

• BA in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA is a nice to have.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; 2 years managing people.
• Highly analytical with great presentation skills to share data & findings.
• Expertise in GAAP and financial reporting, forecasting and budget prep, and profitability analysis.
