Financial Administrator III (Hybrid)

About the position

The Financial Administrator III position at Georgia Tech involves advanced financial records maintenance, report preparation, and reconciliation within an academic or non-academic department. The role requires coordination with other campus units and may involve supervising finance/accounting personnel. The position is crucial for managing financial data related to proposals, grants, contracts, and budgeting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare financial data related to proposals, grants, and contracts.
• Generate data for budget amendments and related reporting.
• Collect, reconcile, and audit monthly unit expense transactions.
• Process travel requests, ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation.
• Review and process payroll, time documents, and personnel action forms.
• Coordinate unit financial actions with Institute financial units.
• Recommend changes to finance/accounting procedures as appropriate.
• Provide advice and direction to other finance/accounting personnel; may supervise them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three to five years of job-related experience.
