About the position

The Transitional Financial Advisor (TFA) role at TD Bank is a three-year program designed for financial advisors or planners who provide financial planning guidance and sell investment management solutions. This position focuses on servicing the unique needs of clients in the Mass Affluent segment, helping them achieve their financial goals through personalized investment recommendations and comprehensive client service. The TFA will act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring a thorough onboarding experience and ongoing relationship management to maximize client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial planning guidance and sell investment management solutions to clients in the Mass Affluent segment.
  • Conduct thorough client discovery and financial needs analysis to offer goals-based advice.
  • Ensure all new clients receive a complete onboarding experience.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for TD Wealth clients.
  • Implement a differentiated service model for Mass Affluent clients.
  • Conduct Annual Client Review (ACR) meetings focused on clients' overall wealth needs.
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales goals while maximizing profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for referrals to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and firm regulations and policies.
  • Foster a positive work environment and contribute to team performance.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in selling investments and providing financial planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Series 65 or 66 required; Series 7 or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Life and Health insurance licenses required or ability to obtain them.
  • Advanced understanding of wealth management business development techniques and products.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales goals and establish relationships with clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail and small business banking.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned market to meet clients and partners.
