About the position

The Financial Advisor position at Lighthouse Credit Union focuses on establishing value-added relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored investment solutions. The role emphasizes personal accountability, continuous growth, and effective communication to achieve sales and revenue goals while adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet and profile prospective clients, review investment goals, and prepare presentations.
• Recommend investment products and follow up on client contacts to help customers meet their needs.
• Provide investment/insurance solutions based on a comprehensive financial planning approach.
• Build strong relationships with customers and effectively manage an existing book of business.
• Achieve sales and revenue goals while meeting professional growth and development objectives.
• Organize and assist with the delivery of branch seminars and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Participate in the execution of the local marketing development plan.
• Adhere to all FINRA and insurance rules and regulations, as well as company policies.

Requirements

• Three years of financial services sales and service experience preferred.
• Demonstrate superior member relations skills.
• Excellent organizational ability and analytical skills to comprehend complex products and regulations.
• Strong people, sales, and relationship skills.
• Proven oral and written communication skills.
• Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
• FINRA Series Securities Industry Essentials Examination, 7, 63 registrations required; IAR (65/66 or appropriate designation).
• Life, Health & Variable Licenses.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a credit union or similar financial institution.
• Familiarity with investment and insurance products.
