About the position

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President to join the Treasury Controller Group within the Chief Financial Office. This role involves working within the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Controller group, providing insights into various asset classes and financial products. The position offers visibility into firm initiatives and requires extensive collaboration with colleagues across different business lines and corporate functions. The Treasury function supports senior leadership in managing balance sheets, capital, liquidity, and interest rate risks, ensuring the integrity of Treasury financials and controls, and participating in forecasting and stress testing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Funding execution for CCB lines of business through coordination with Corporate Treasury
  • Reporting for CCB lines of business including monthly actuals and outlook
  • Reporting for business planning and stress testing cycles, including Risk Appetite and CCAR
  • Ongoing structural interest rate risk monitoring and management
  • Completing various control checks, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Liaison with lines of business (LOB) Controllers, P&A and CFO teams, CCB Treasury Analytics, Treasury/CIO and Risk on FTP framework changes and other Corporate and senior management deliverables
  • Identify and drive strategic and technology initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other technical field
  • 7+ years of work experience in financial services and financial forecasting
  • Understanding and experience in balance sheet and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
  • Strong technical capabilities or desire to learn Alteryx, Tableau
  • Control mindset, strong judgment, professional maturity, strong work ethic, proactive, has the courage to ask tough questions and challenge the status quo
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, including with senior management and business partners
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Control/efficiency mindset and drive to challenge and change
  • Knowledge of retail banking and consumer products

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Essbase would be an added advantage
