About the position

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a full-time Financial Analyst 1 or Financial Analyst 2 for the Department of Internal Medicine, Academic Research Services. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on financial data related to clinical trials, with guidance from supervisors. The position is integral to ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within the clinical trial unit.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports.
  • Prepare financial, data, and statistical analysis reports for clinical trials.
  • Track financial performance and identify variances from the budgets.
  • Perform budget analysis and assist in the development of budgetary forecasts.
  • Communicate financial status and issues to project managers, clinical teams and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and assist in budget-related statistical analysis, estimates and financial reports.
  • Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems.
  • Reconcile invoices and payments with trial budgets and agreements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval for all financial transactions.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field.
  • Related finance or accounting experience.
