About the position

The Financial Analyst 2-Financial Planning & Analysis at Loma Linda University Health is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis services. This role involves assisting in the investment and financial analysis process by analyzing data to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. The analyst prepares action plans and presentations to recommend future investments and financial status to department heads and administrative leadership. The position requires the identification and implementation of financial improvement initiatives and providing expert financial advice through detailed analysis, all while completing assigned projects efficiently and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial analysis services.
• Assist in the investment and financial analysis process by analyzing available data.
• Prepare action plans or presentations to provide recommendations to department heads and administrative leadership.
• Identify and implement financial improvement initiatives.
• Provide expert financial advice through detailed analysis.
• Complete assigned projects efficiently and with minimum supervision.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum three years financial analysis or related experience required, or completion of LLUH Management Residency Program.
• Strong skills in problem solving, project management, financial or accounting reporting, statistical analysis, or business intelligence tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Ability to extract data from multiple financial systems and manipulate it with ease and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree or financial relevant certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) preferred.
