About the position

The Financial Analyst 3 at UC Davis Health is responsible for the analysis and review of financials within the School of Medicine (SOM) and oversees the coordination and management of funding critical to operational and strategic objectives. Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review SOM financials and oversee funding management.
  • Coordinate and manage funding critical to operational and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure clear communication across the system regarding financial matters.
  • Manage workload to meet deadlines and respond to urgent issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training/experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Previous financial analyst experience, preferably in an Academic Medical System or higher education.
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills to manage assignments proactively and independently.
  • Advanced-level analytical and problem-solving skills to research, collect, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Ability to synthesize ambiguous information into clear, presentable formats.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with competing deadlines and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills based on comprehensive knowledge of university priorities and policies.
  • Expertise in budget preparation and management, including evaluating revenue opportunities.

  • Knowledge of existing systems like Aggie Enterprise and experience in system implementation.
