About the position

The Financial Analyst 4 - Supervisor position at ACORD Solutions Group in Davis, CA, is responsible for overseeing a team of four Financial Analyst III positions. This role involves organizing work priorities, supervising staff, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for a large department with an annual operating budget of $80 million. The supervisor will collaborate with the Department CAO and Finance Manager to develop and implement budgets, maintain extensive financial records, and provide analytical support for fiscal management.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise four Financial Analyst III positions.
• Organize and determine work priorities to meet deadlines.
• Review, approve, and evaluate the work of direct reports.
• Maintain extensive files and documentation for all transactions.
• Assist in developing and implementing the annual operating budget.
• Gather and analyze financial data from various revenue and expense streams.
• Provide backup support for the Department's Financial Report.
• Support fiscal management of the 340B HTC Program.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience managing operating funds or extramural portfolio management.
• In-depth knowledge of financial policies, systems, and budgetary cycles.
• Experience with GAAP accounting and fund accounting principles.
• Demonstrated experience using financial information systems such as Cognos and Tableau.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a financial setting.
• Knowledge of higher education research and fund accounting.
