About the position

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role involves processing financial documents, ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations, and analyzing financial statements. The Financial Analyst will utilize their expertise in financial management systems and software to support the organization's financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Processes financial documents and transactions from designated Districts using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).
• Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations, including the Single Audit Act.
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements.

Requirements

• Four-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with superior Excel skills (V-look up, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with government accounting practices.
• Knowledge of relevant Office Management and Budget circulars.
