The Financial Analyst - Accountant position at Deva & Associates, P.C. focuses on providing budget and financial support services within a Federal agency context. Responsibilities

• Perform analytical review tasks related to budget tracking and financial accounting functions.
• Read, interpret, and develop financial management, regulatory, and accounting guidance documents.
• Gather facts and develop clear analyses to arrive at sound conclusions.
• Field and answer questions regarding Federal finance, budget, and accounting matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (REQUIRED).
• 2-8 years of experience in Federal accounting, analysis, or financial management activities (REQUIRED).
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to complete a Federal background clearance investigation (T2- Public Trust Investigation with a 5 Sensitivity Level Clearance).
• U.S. Citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Federal accounting, budget, and financial management requirements, including GAAP and OMB Circulars.
• Familiarity with U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and trial balance maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Federal financial management obligations and expenditures.
• Specific knowledge of OMB Circular No. A-11 regarding budget preparation and execution.
