About the position

The Financial Analyst/Accountant at CIRSA is responsible for various accounting and financial analysis duties, including processing payroll, managing financial transactions, and preparing reports. This role requires strong Excel skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with senior staff. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional meetings at the Denver office.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-monthly payroll and maintain payroll records.
  • Record checks received and process collections.
  • Provide backup for essential financial operations.
  • Prepare financial and claims reports.
  • Research, analyze, and compile financial data for decision-making.
  • Download and index lockbox and office deposits, entering data into the ERP system.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable accounts and perform collections duties.
  • Prepare deductible analysis and claims trend reports.
  • Assist with cash management and monitor bank account funding.
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements.
  • Create reports for audits and financial evaluations.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Support the annual renewal process and assist with the annual audit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • 1 to 4 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial software.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity and maintain confidentiality.
