About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Molson Coors Brewing Company is focused on supporting the financial accounting and reporting activities of the Accounting and Reporting team. This role involves leading processes that monitor and assess the impact of accounting pronouncements on significant transactions and the North America business. The analyst will be responsible for consolidated financial reporting, providing accounting guidance, conducting technical accounting research, and maintaining financial reporting systems to enable effective internal and external financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, consolidating, and analyzing financial statements and required disclosures.
• Providing financial reporting information to the SEC Reporting team.
• Applying financial analysis techniques to drive business results.
• Ensuring conformance to US GAAP accounting standards and Molson Coors global accounting policies.
• Preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Coordinating updates to financial reporting systems and ensuring accurate general ledger changes.
• Extracting and processing key information to summarize results and draw conclusions.
• Reviewing and prioritizing tasks/project assignments and communicating key issues to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience (2+ years) in the field of accounting.
• Strong analytical ability to conduct research and resolve complex problems.
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and internal control.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Strong Excel, communication, and leadership skills.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
