The Financial Analyst, FP&A is a pivotal role within Ventas, responsible for analyzing variances to plan and updating forecasts. This position encompasses a wide variety of management and external reporting tasks, as well as tracking Ventas's consolidated capital expenditures and forward capital commitments. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with multiple functions throughout the organization, including Investments and Asset Management, to provide consolidated financial information that informs strategic decision-making. This role is essential in supporting the Asset Management teams on key strategic initiatives, ensuring that financial insights are effectively communicated to leadership. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Financial Analyst will assist with earnings preparation, which includes consolidated NOI growth and Q&A for the earnings call. The role also involves conducting Monthly Business Reviews, responding to investor relations requests, and managing other management and external reporting tasks. The analyst will analyze monthly and quarterly capital expenditure results as part of the financial review and earnings processes, aggregating and reporting on any forecast changes for future capital commitments. Engaging with the Asset Management and Investments teams on their capital budgets and forecasts is crucial, as the analyst will help management understand key risks and opportunities to stay within published guidance. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, as the Financial Analyst will work with various functions throughout the organization, including Accounting, Construction & Development, and IT, to prepare information for reporting and analysis purposes. Overall, the position requires providing analytic support to Asset Management teams and senior management on key strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests, making it a dynamic and integral part of the financial planning and analysis team.
