About the position

Discovery is at the heart of everything we do at TJX Companies. Our Finance Department plays a crucial role in preparing and owning the reporting, trend analysis, and ad hoc analysis for all areas of our business. As a Finance Co-op, you will have the opportunity to make an impact and contribute to a specific team while gaining hands-on training and mentorship. This position is designed for current juniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, and it offers a unique chance to work in a challenging, collaborative, and team-based environment. You will be involved in various Corporate Finance areas, including Business Planning & Analysis and Financial Control, where you will identify and evaluate ongoing profit-generating opportunities and provide analytical project support for critical finance initiatives. During your co-op, you will collaborate with experienced financial professionals to manage and execute projects that contribute to the development of TJX's strategy. You will also have the chance to work cross-functionally with other departments such as Store Operations, HR, Real Estate, and Marketing. Your responsibilities will include creating and presenting projects, reports, and communications for Senior Management, which will enhance your understanding of the data that drives our organization and solidifies our position as a global leader. Responsibilities

  • Hands-on training to facilitate learning with guided mentorship
  • Contributing to business strategy

  • Performing your own analysis projects

Requirements

  • Current juniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (other majors may be considered)
  • Genuine interest in a Corporate Finance career
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually
  • Experience working with numbers
  • A high level of curiosity
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Excel (i.e., pivot tables, charts, v-look up, etc.)
