The Financial Analyst position at Sherwin-Williams is a full-time role focused on the preparation and analysis of financial reports that aid management in making informed fiscal decisions. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, as well as implementing internal controls to protect company assets. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the monthly close of financial data for manufacturing sites across North America, serving as the primary interface between the plant and division/regional accounting teams. In addition to regular reporting duties, the analyst will assist in annual financial activities such as budget preparation and physical inventory assessments. A significant part of the role involves analyzing manufacturing costs, explaining variances, and proposing corrective actions. The analyst will also review monthly profit and loss summaries for anomalies, providing insights and reporting findings to management. Furthermore, the position includes providing analytical support for various operational excellence projects, including Lean initiatives, Six Sigma, and capital projects. The Financial Analyst will also assist with fixed asset closing, purchasing processes, and other miscellaneous tasks as required by the manufacturing sites. The role demands accurate processing and reporting of a large volume of entries into site information and accounting systems, including QAD, AOM, Oracle, and General Ledger. The analyst will coordinate and supervise the work order variance review process and will be expected to train and serve as a backup for the primary analyst responsible for operations finance support and analysis. Ultimately, the goal is to deliver meaningful financial analysis that empowers management to make sound business decisions.
