About The Position

The Financial Analyst (COE) position at Precision Castparts Corp. is a full-time role based in North Grafton, MA, where the successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and interpreting plant financial information and analysis. This includes actuals, plans, forecasts, and capital analysis. The role requires taking a lead position in forecasting, planning, and project analysis, as well as assisting with monthly closing and the preparation of financial reports to Corporate and Division levels. In this role, the Financial Analyst will be tasked with the analysis and forecasting of financial results. This involves understanding and interpreting financial information, including daily, weekly, and monthly actuals, plans, forecasts, and investment analysis, to support business management and decision-making. The analyst will take primary responsibility for forecasting, collaborating with the General Manager and Executive Team to understand and quantify business issues and their impact on future results. Additionally, the analyst will prepare and update forecast files and support PCC management and external reporting processes by providing input to ensure the integrity of financial reports and analysis, while promptly disclosing any issues and exposures. The position also entails coordination of financial support to the Executive team across various functions such as Sales, Planning, Purchasing, and Engineering. The Financial Analyst will prepare and analyze standard PCC Financial Reports, including Monthly and Quarterly Operating Packages, Quarterly Financial Packages, and Daily/Weekly/Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports. Furthermore, the role includes investment and decision support analysis, where the analyst will analyze capital expenditures and other investment decisions being considered by Plant management, providing decision support for special projects such as departmental subcontracting, reorganizations, and customer contracts. Close collaboration with Plant management to identify key risks and alternatives is also a critical aspect of this role.
