About the position

Classic Vacations is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst specializing in Data Visualization to join our dynamic Finance team. This position is remote and reports directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Tableau and a strong background in financial analysis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning the reporting for the company and supporting the Director in various financial planning activities. In this role, you will assist in the forecasting and budgeting processes, create ad-hoc models to support promotions and campaigns, and conduct variance analysis against budgets and prior years. You will be expected to dig into data to understand results and conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Collaboration across departments will be essential as you provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will also include creating and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly KPI dashboards and reports using Tableau, ensuring that all data sets and calculations are streamlined and maintained for continuity. You will partner with leaders across the organization to provide KPI dashboards and analyses that help improve performance and drive business outcomes. Additionally, you will create and maintain financial reports in Prophix and assist in preparing monthly financial packets for owners. The position requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will also need to have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including experience with pivot tables and vlookups, and a working knowledge of financial reporting tools, ideally Prophix. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $80,000 annually, depending on experience, plus the potential for an annual bonus of up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting process.

  • Streamline and maintain data sets and calculations for continuity across all measures.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to provide KPI dashboards, reports, and analyses.
  • Create and maintain financial reports in Prophix.
  • Assist in preparing monthly owners' financial packet.
  • Perform ad-hoc Excel reporting, including creating pivot tables and vlookups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in reporting and financial analysis.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tableau super user, with proven expertise in dashboard development and data visualization.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of a financial reporting tool, ideally Prophix.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience integrating Tableau with other systems would be advantageous.
