About the position

As a Financial Analyst (Dish) at GE Appliances, you will play a crucial role in financial reporting, forecasting, and supporting the financial aspects of new product introductions (NPI) for dishwasher products. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure financial commitments are met and to drive improvements in forecasting and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial analysis related to new product introduction (NPI) programs for dishwasher products.
  • Conduct cost/benefit and payback calculations to assess financial impacts.
  • Serve as the key point of contact with cross-functional program teams, including Technology and Product Management.
  • Measure program benefits and spending to achieve financial commitments.
  • Develop and utilize risk management tools to ensure flawless execution of programs.
  • Lead financial preparation and presentations during formal program reviews.
  • Drive accountability for variances to plans and delays in program execution.
  • Conduct monthly NPI tracking and reporting analysis post-launch, including orders, sales, and margin.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Product Management teams to compile multi-year NPI spending budgets.
  • Complete monthly NPI investment and expense forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Perform monthly closing and quarterly account reconciliation for Dishwasher products.
  • Support cross-functional analysis to improve overall product line profitability.
  • Own commercial PL estimates for SRO, LTP, and SII processes.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Finance to drive forecasting improvements through the SOP process.
  • Provide support to Operating/Finance teams on key initiatives and ad hoc reporting.
  • Champion process improvements including reporting simplification and forecasting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in budgeting and strategic planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with product management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
