The Financial Analyst role is a member of the Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning team within Equitable Investment Management Group, LLC (EIMG). The individual interacts closely with the investments team and other key stakeholders, assisting with long-term strategy for the group. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a high-performance, fast-paced environment and able to quickly develop strong working relationships within and outside the group. A successful candidate will help to drive strong collaboration between EIMG and the Business and to improve efficiency and productivity of the organization; the individual will assist senior leaders to identify, evaluate, prioritize and deliver strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with EIMG strategic and tactical business plans to contribute to the group's strategic objectives, while assessing impacts to key financial metrics Helping to identify, assess, and evaluate business optimization opportunities Assisting with the implementation of fund launches, mergers, and restructurings to optimize fund profitability Contributing to regular discussions with the broker dealer related to the group's model portfolios and retail mutual fund complex Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting for EIMG's Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning team Preparation of financial reporting for EIMG, including departmental budgets, internal trial balances, cash flows, and dividends to Equitable Preparation of various management presentations and presentations to the independent Board of Trustees of the Funds, including the annual 15(c) contract renewal process.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with EIMG strategic and tactical business plans to contribute to the group's strategic objectives, while assessing impacts to key financial metrics.
  • Helping to identify, assess, and evaluate business optimization opportunities.
  • Assisting with the implementation of fund launches, mergers, and restructurings to optimize fund profitability.
  • Contributing to regular discussions with the broker dealer related to the group's model portfolios and retail mutual fund complex.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 2+ years of experience in a comparable business or finance role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
