About the position

The Financial Analyst role at Equitable Investment Management is part of the Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning team. This position involves close collaboration with the investments team and key stakeholders to assist in long-term strategic planning and business optimization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, driving collaboration and improving organizational efficiency while supporting senior leaders in delivering strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with EIMG strategic and tactical business plans to contribute to the group's strategic objectives, while assessing impacts to key financial metrics
  • Helping to identify, assess, and evaluate business optimization opportunities
  • Assisting with the implementation of fund launches, mergers, and restructurings to optimize fund profitability
  • Contributing to regular discussions with the broker dealer related to the group's model portfolios and retail mutual fund complex
  • Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting for EIMG's Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning team
  • Preparation of financial reporting for EIMG, including departmental budgets, internal trial balances, cash flows, and dividends to Equitable
  • Preparation of various management presentations and presentations to the independent Board of Trustees of the Funds, including the annual (c) contract renewal process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in a comparable business or finance role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
