About the position

As a Financial Analyst focused on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Flip, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial insights and helping shape the company's growth strategy. This position involves supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with the Chief Business Officer and the broader Finance team, making a significant impact on the company's financial health and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to guide business decisions and achieve financial targets.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow; analyze different scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership and stakeholders, including variance analysis and commentary on performance.
  • Work with other functions at the company to analyze KPIs, profitability, and other financial metrics to identify trends and improve efficiency.
  • Assist in special projects, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and financial assessments of new initiatives and opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, with private equity (PE) or venture capital (VC) experience as a strong plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial planning tools and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a track record of accuracy and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
