About the position

The Financial Analyst, FP&A position at Marshall Retail Group/InMotion involves working collaboratively with Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams to create financial models and conduct detailed analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs). The role focuses on reviewing and projecting the organization's current and future success, contributing to the strategic vision of the company. The analyst will be responsible for generating reports, analyzing data trends, and streamlining processes to enhance business effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Create & maintain reports showcasing analyzed financial results to various departments and leadership levels, including KPIs and operational metrics.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and assist in developing dashboards for Accounting, Finance, and Store Operations reporting.
• Work autonomously to complete projects from ideation to final deliverable.
• Problem-solve creatively and independently for business needs using curated data in collaboration with IT & Store Operations.
• Compile and analyze data from multiple sources to interpret results and present findings clearly.
• Collaborate across business areas to streamline and automate daily tasks, increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
• Act as EPM Planning (Hyperion) backup administrator.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis or FP&A.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to influence and impact the business.
• Expertise in MS Excel and creating financial models.
• Experience with Oracle EPM / Hyperion SmartView or other financial reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with financial reporting dashboard software programs.
• Oracle EPM administrator experience creating forms, reports, and running general ledger to EPM integration processes.
