About the position

As a Financial Analyst at JR Automation Technologies LLC, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function of the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include generating and supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, as well as assisting in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. This will involve collaborating with various teams to set timelines, assumptions, and updating or building templates as needed, primarily using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. You will also be responsible for conducting financial modeling for various ad hoc analyses and working closely with other team members to develop narratives that explain the numbers behind the reports. In this position, you will function as a key business partner within the organization, particularly with our SG&A global leaders, to ensure adherence to dynamic targets and to support business decisions through effective teamwork. You will analyze and summarize three-statement models, assess financial performance, and help identify and quantify risks and opportunities. Your ability to work independently on complex problems while managing confidential and sensitive information with professionalism will be essential. You will conduct all activities in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and established JR Automation policies, ensuring integrity in all financial dealings. The role may require travel as needed, potentially up to 5%, primarily within the United States. You will work in various settings, including corporate offices, different facilities, and remote locations, adapting to the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating on forward-thinking processes, setting timelines assumptions, and updating or building templates as needed.
  • Assist in the review of various reporting needs.
  • Conduct financial modeling for various 'ad hoc' analysis.
  • Contact and network within the organization to collect data and assist with analysis.
  • Work with other team members to develop the stories behind the numbers.
  • Function as a key business partner with the organization, including partnering with SG&A global leaders on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with finance team members on financial analysis and critical thinking.
  • Support business decisions by effectively working as part of the team to help adhere to forecasts.
  • Analyze and summarize three-statement models, assess financial performance, and help identify and quantify risks and opportunities.
  • Work independently on complex problems.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with a strong level of professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional finance position.
  • Exposure to Percentage of Completion Accounting preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing or job cost accounting environment preferred but not required.
  • Experience with accounting systems, controls, and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP, CPM (such as OneStream or Hyperion), and CRM systems in an automation or manufacturing setting strongly desired.
  • Highly analytical with proven skills in problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Experience with confidential information (including compensation, restructuring, and M&A) desired.
  • Advanced computer software skills; experience with Business Intelligence tools desired.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high sense of urgency and integrity.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
