About the position

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in the NYC area, specifically to support the processing of variable compensation for our Global Sales organization. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting systemic commission payments, maintaining the commission database, and manually updating commission overrides. You will also review and interpret commission policies and plans, prepare and reconcile commission payments, and collaborate with Sales Leadership to ensure accurate insights and reporting are provided. Additionally, you will work closely with HR and Sales Operations to analyze whether we are efficiently compensating our sales force while meeting all payroll deadlines. This position requires a solid understanding of business and cost drivers, along with strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. You will need to demonstrate advanced Excel skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Familiarity with the Varicent ICM system is a plus, as are database development skills such as Access or Visual Basic. The role may require occasional travel to various Broadridge locations, including Edgewood, Newark, Lake Success, and potentially other parts of the US and India on rare occasions. Responsibilities

  • Understanding and maintaining the commission database.
  • Working closely with sales executives and senior management in review of commissions.
  • Understanding and interpreting the commission plans and client contracts in order to properly calculate commissions.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of database functionality to support the maintenance of our ICM System, including documenting system requirements, providing recommendations for system design and enhancements, testing new logic implementation, and troubleshooting errors.
  • Analyzing and interpreting systemic commission payments.
  • Maintaining the commission database, which includes commission overrides, sales exceptions, foreign exchange rates, commission accruals, compensation plan rates, and sales reporting.
  • Reviewing and interpreting commission policy and commission plans.
  • Cascading feedback from sales leadership to better enhance the system.
  • Working with consultants to expand the functionality of the ICM System.
  • Meeting all payroll deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Varicent Incentives is a plus.
  • Demonstrate a reasonable understanding of accounting processes and requirements to collaborate and assist FP&A when needed.
  • Database development skills such as Access or Visual Basic are a plus.
  • Ability to travel to various Broadridge locations including Edgewood, Newark, Lake Success, and potentially other parts of the US and India.
