About the position

As the Financial Analyst you will play a crucial role in executing the company's strategy by delivering reliable financial analysis. You will assist in financial modeling and forecasting, as well as develop and perform standardized cost-benefit analyses to help prioritize projects. You will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of 10 days per month required in the office located in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform standardized cost-benefit analysis to help prioritize projects.
  • Develop and maintain process to analyze in-flight projects for efficiency and budget adherence.
  • Partner with the product and marketing teams to maintain a rolling volume forecast.
  • Assist with financial and operational reporting to management and other operating companies.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and support management across the organization.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of metrics/scorecards that measure the company's execution of its strategic focus areas.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial statement and management reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience performing financial and operational analysis.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of forecasting techniques, statistical analysis, data modeling, and data mining.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance accounting and operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 to 2 years experience with net present value.
  • Experience with discount rates.
  • Experience with discounted cash flow.
  • Experience with internal rate of return.
  • Experience with payback period.
  • Experience with project finance evaluation.
