About the position

The Financial Analyst position at UC San Diego Health plays a crucial role in supporting the fiscal administration of the clinical practice. This hybrid role involves both onsite and remote work, focusing on the maintenance, processing, and auditing of financial information. The analyst will provide critical analyses for performance measurement and decision-making processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and supporting various departments within the UC San Diego Physician Group.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, process, and audit financial information interfacing into the EPSi budget module and other financial reporting tools.
• Provide analytic services to all levels of management within the Physician Group.
• Conduct performance measurement and decision-making analyses for clinical productivity and budget support.
• Work with clinical practice management to resolve financial or procedural issues.
• Ensure accuracy of financial results and conduct investigations into performance and utilization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training in physician practice, medical group, medical center, or accounting.
• Seven (7) years of related experience in a similar role or education/training in finance policies, practices, and systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain professional relationships with executives and clinicians.
• Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written forms, including presentations.
